Real estate in Ukraine

Today the situation on the real estate market of the Ukraine shows that there is a great lot of unsold flats and demand for them is pretty low. It is closely connected with the economic crisis. It used to be about 200 deals a day, but currently there are about 200 deals a month.
A lot of investors are quite careful about investing money in the real estate in the Ukraine, since specialists claim that the prices we have today are not the minimal ones and it is going to be another decrease. Herewith the sellers, taking into account such forecasts, don’t reduce prices and often strike off the flats from auctions.

The average level of prices per sq m is about 750 EUR, a lot of real estate developers are ready to sell the flats at cost starting from 300 EUR. In general there is a sale only on secondary estate market, as the projects with the new buildings are stopped.

Anyway if you decided to buy real estate in the Ukraine, you’d better pay attention at the Crimea region. There is demand for the houses there as there is very little land for building left, though the price for one hundred square meters remains 3 thousand EUR. Yalta is one of the most vivid examples, it has well-developed infrastructure, full communication systems and great sights. Moreover, if you come there in winter, you will also have fun, because even in winter one can meet there a lot of tourists and have a good time with the family.

According to the laws of the Ukraine, foreigners are equal in rights with the citizens of the country in buying real estate in the Ukraine, i.e. there are no any restrictions.

To buy real estate in the Ukraine a foreigner is required to have a passport and a document that confirms that a citizen is on the territory of the country and, sure, the money. Moreover the presence of a foreigner at the procedure of the signing the contract is optional, one can just make a notorial letter of attorney.
